The Boise School District is proud to announce the formation of its inaugural Parent Advocacy Group, a new initiative designed to strengthen trust, foster open communication, and bring diverse family perspectives directly into conversations with district leadership.
The Parent Advocacy Group will begin meeting in September 2025 and will work closely with Superintendent Lisa Roberts, as well as Deputy Superintendents Wendy Johnson and Nick Smith. The group includes parent representatives from each of the District’s four high school attendance areas, Boise, Borah, Capital, and Timberline, as well as at-large members representing elementary, junior high, and high school families across the district.
The purpose of the Boise School District Parent Advocacy Group is to:

Foster meaningful collaboration between families and district leadership

Amplify parent voices in district decision-making

Promote community engagement across all schools

Build a network of informed parent advocates

Encourage constructive dialogue and shared learning

Support a well-rounded educational experience for all students
