Work to expand the Dennis Professional Technical Education Center began in July of 2017 and was completed in August of 2018.
This project is the result of working closely with industry representatives in identifying the need for upgrading and expanding job training programs at the Center to help students better prepare for future postsecondary and career success.
The new addition to the Center provides upgrades to existing career technical education programs, technology and classrooms (technology, safety, space). With the new addition, the following current programs are upgraded to better serve students and local industry partner needs:
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
- Dental Assistant
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Graphic Design
Expansion of the Pro-Tech Center allows students to gain valuable skills with the addition of the following, industry-aligned job training programs:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Heating-Air Conditioning (HVAC)
August 21, 2018 Update: The Dehryl A. Dennis Career and Technical Education Center addition opened for the start of the 2018-19 school year. Thank you, voters!
