Mountain View Elementary - Update

Mountain View Elementary School was constructed in 1959 and is in need of a new facility required to meet modern educational standards.

With multiple portable classrooms, a small combined gym and cafeteria and limited space for learning and parent conferences, Mountain View ranked as the 8th worst elementary school for Educational Adequacy in the 2016 Facilities Audit.

A new school, in the same location, will meet modern education standards, and provide additional space for physical education and music.

May 6, 2020: The LKV designed Mountain View Elementary project managed by Kreizenbeck Constructors is nearly complete.  The abatement/demolition of the existing building will begin soon. Work on the playground and additional parking on the Cabarton Street side of the building will commence after the building is razed.
